It has been 9 months since I have last blogged. Wow! I seriously feel like I have been hibernating for the last 9 months! However, I am awake! In the last nine months, my youngest son graduated from high school, and all three of my boys have moved away...out of state! My oldest moved all the way to Oklahoma, teaching adorable kindergarteners with his unending passion, energy, and light. My two youngest decided to join the military to serve and protect our country and our freedom! I am a proud Marine Mom and a proud Air Mom! And, in June and July, as my sons each left the nest, I somehow found myself frozen, in a hibernation state....I found myself zombie-ing through each day (with my incredible husband, who was also in this crazy zombie state right al...

I have been parked in 1 Samuel chapter 1 for two days...but really, the entire book of 1 Samuel intrigues me! Who will be King? I have decided to spend some time in 1 Samuel, and thought that this might also interest you! Starting tomorrow, February 9th, I will be reading a chapter a day, beginning in Chapter 1. I hope to post on here a verse that stood out to me, as well as any observations, and ways to apply this verse. I invite you to do the same! Let's read the living, breathing Truths of His Word! Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down and if he calls you say, “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.” -1 Samuel 3:9 Three times, Samuel heard the Lord call his name, but Samuel did not yet know the Lord, and did not recognize his voice. He assumed it was Eli calling him. So often, we complain that God doesn’t speak to us. We cannot hear his soft voice, or it isn’t very clear. How do we know if it’s God’s voice? The advice from Eli, in the Word , is perfect advice for us!
