Peace I give you.

Peace I leave you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. -John 14:27

Before you look at your to do list, before your mind races to laundry, the shower, and all that must be taken care of today...sit and rest in His presence. Allow him to fill every space of your heart and mind with the peace that He can give you to start your day. Empty your heart and mind of all that the world has to offer, and start the day in His presence, in His peace, in His love and soak it in. Soak it in as you hear the birds chirping. Soak it in as you notice the gentle breeze that He has whispered into motion. Soak in His peace as you feel the warmth of the sun. Soak in His peace and His presence as you sit in His magnificent stillness! Let Him fill you with peace, love, grace, and his holy spirit. Breathe out the worries of the world, and breathe in his strength. Breathe out all that crowds your heart and mind, and breathe in His redeeming love. Breathe in again His majesty, so that He may spill out throughout your day, throughout your to do list, and throughout your worries. Take time to bask in His glory and in His peace, as it will be the difference in your day today.

For You, O LORD, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. -Psalm 92:4 aaaaahhhh!!!  Rejoice!  Rejoice!  Rejoice!!   It has been 9 months since I have last blogged.  Wow!  I seriously feel like I have been hibernating for the last 9 months!  However, I am awake!  In the last nine months, my youngest son graduated from high school, and all three of my boys have moved away...out of state!  My oldest moved all the way to Oklahoma, teaching adorable kindergarteners with his unending passion, energy, and light.  My two youngest decided to join the military to serve and protect our country and our freedom! I am a proud Marine Mom and a proud Air Mom!  And, in June and July, as my sons each left the nest, I somehow found myself frozen, in a hibernation state....I found myself zombie-ing through each day (with my incredible husband, who was also in this crazy zombie state right alongside me).  Until now, I look, and we are in December.  I

Speed bump? No problem! (1 Samuel 17)

  You come to me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty. -1 Samuel 17:45 I wake up this morning with the greatest memory in my head. A memory including speed bumps. A few friends and I, away for a God filled weekend, found ourselves in a parking lot, waiting. Giggling and excited for the weekend. Excited to be together, and excited to spend the weekend with the Lord Almighty, we waited in that parking lot, driving, we circled that parking lot. The parking lot had speed bumps to slow or even stop cars. As we cruised that parking lot, we found ourselves flying over those speed bumps over and over, shouting silly things as we laughed for joy, shouting again! AGAIN!  Normally, I hate speed bumps. They slow me down, shake me up, as I stumble over them. We flew over those speed bumps! Our waiting, for that long time seemed like minutes. Our waiting was so much fun! We flew over those speed bumps time and time again with joy and triumph!
