Be the Light!

Because you have rejected my knowledge, I also reject you, as my priests, because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. -Hosea 4:6

Hear the word of the Lord, you Israelites, because the Lord has a charge to bring against you who live in the land: There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgement of God in the land. -Hosea 4:1

The Israelites are stubborn, like a stubborn heifer, how then can the Lord pasture them like lambs in a meadow? -Hosea 4:16

They feed the sins of my people and relish their wickedness -Hosea 4:8

Things are dark. The world is dark, unfaithfulness everywhere. The poor are left begging, the innocent are murdered, the orphans and widows are left to fend for themselves, the crooked ways of our leaders! The unfaithfulness of our neighbors. The darkness gets darker.

What a dark world we live in, and oh, we are found marveling in the darkness. We are found focusing on how dark it is, pointing out the darkness, mourning the death of light, stumbling through the darkness as we cannot see.

You are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. -Matthew 5:14

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his WONDERFUL LIGHT. -1 Peter 2:9

Focus on the darkness of the world no more! Take heart, we know the creator of light, and he lives in us! Take your eyes off the darkness and look to the light....be the light! Shine His light that was given to you! Let's rake back the darkness! Shine the light in your households, in your jobs, in your neighborhoods, and in your town! Shine the light throughout the world for all to see! Shine your light on the poor and the beggars. Shine your light on those who mourn, so they may have hope! Shine the light on the orphans and widows, on the sinners and the leaders!

What a dark world we live in, but it's time to be the light!

The victory is yours Father! I stand with my torch, with you, and for you! Use me to light up your world!

Send me, where I've pointed my finger in judgement. Send me, where I've turned a blind eye. Empty me of my darkness, and fill me with Your Light! Help me to light up your world!

Father,
I pray for the darkness that is upon us. I pray for Orlando. I pray for those that were murdered. I pray for those that were injured. I pray for the families, friends, for Orlando and America. I pray for all that are mourning this loss. My heart is broken.

I pray as Satan's attack is upon us! I pray that you will use us as your light! I pray that we will spread your light throughout this dark world! I pray that your light will spread like wildfire! I love you Father! Thank you for your light in this present darkness!

For You, O LORD, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. -Psalm 92:4 aaaaahhhh!!!  Rejoice!  Rejoice!  Rejoice!!   It has been 9 months since I have last blogged.  Wow!  I seriously feel like I have been hibernating for the last 9 months!  However, I am awake!  In the last nine months, my youngest son graduated from high school, and all three of my boys have moved away...out of state!  My oldest moved all the way to Oklahoma, teaching adorable kindergarteners with his unending passion, energy, and light.  My two youngest decided to join the military to serve and protect our country and our freedom! Speed bump? No problem! (1 Samuel 17)

  You come to me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty. -1 Samuel 17:45 I wake up this morning with the greatest memory in my head. A memory including speed bumps. A few friends and I, away for a God filled weekend, found ourselves in a parking lot, waiting. Giggling and excited for the weekend. Excited to be together, and excited to spend the weekend with the Lord Almighty, we waited in that parking lot, driving, we circled that parking lot. The parking lot had speed bumps to slow or even stop cars. As we cruised that parking lot, we found ourselves flying over those speed bumps over and over, shouting silly things as we laughed for joy, shouting again! AGAIN!  Normally, I hate speed bumps. They slow me down, shake me up, as I stumble over them. We flew over those speed bumps! Our waiting, for that long time seemed like minutes. Our waiting was so much fun! We flew over those speed bumps time and time again with joy and triumph!
