Your Love Makes me Sing


"Yours O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours O Lord is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you, you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Last night , Afton and I were driving in the car as we saw the most magnificent sunset. It was absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful colors of orange, red, gold, and fuchsia painted across the sky. As I usually do...I told God thank you. (for some reason I always have the idea that his beautiful sunsets are painted just for me) Then...we started talking about what an incredible God we serve. He paints the beautiful one of a kind masterpiece in the sky as he hears my complaints and whines and prayers, as he hears billions of other prayers, as he protects a sweet child as she walks across the street,  as he tells the wind to blow and the rain to start somewhere else, as he places a baby in a womb, as he comforts another son or daughter, as he welcomes another child home to heaven...he does this and oh so much more simultaneously.  And it's not like he's running around overwhelmed. He has done all of this and so much more since the beginning of time. At that moment last night...tha t beautiful sunset meant even more than it usually does. It's hard to wrap our minds around exactly how awesome our God is. I don't think I can ever fully grasp how huge he is.  I actually feel bad, because I don't usually even try to.  And, even when I do try, I know I am not even close to grasping his awesomeness completely.  It is indescribable all that he does in one single breath!  And, at that I pray:

 

"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. " -Ephesians 3:16-19

All exclaiming

Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
