You gotta have faith!

By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.  -Hebrews 11:3


So often,  I've her the phrase and have even spoke the words, "you've got to have faith."  Geoerge Michael even sang the words.  I sometimes get this so twisted, thinking I can grow that mustard seed of faith.  Thinking, I can work hard enough, study hard enough, to increase my faith.  I somehow think that I can cultivate that faith.  My green thumb is non-existent, my "spiritual thumb" is present, not by anything I can do, or have done, but only by he who died for me.  Faith is defined by believing in what is unseen.  Yet even that  fact; Jesus wipes my eyes and opens them to see his marvelous works and presence.  He shows me his love and his splendor, that is so overwhelming, and truly comes from Him!  As the moon lights the darkness and as His love fills me to the point of bursting!  As his love shown through so many on my birthday yesterday in so many ways, I sit here overwhelmed by his joy and peace.  As I sit here in excited anticipation to the promise of the sunrise, as I praise him for the blessings and an indescribable joy, I pray that my eyes and heart may remain open to him and to His marvelous presence.  I pray that my eyes and focus can remain fixed on the Maker, Savior, Redeemer, and Healer.  For I know there is an enemy lurking, that wants to steal the joy and divert my focus.  So again, I praise the name of Jesus, the Victor!  Thank you for your armor, that I will put on before I rise from  this spot.  Your armor that protects my heart, love, joy and peace!  Your armor that keeps my eyes fixed on You!  Your armor!  And, I will praise the name of Jesus as I rise!  For the victory has been won, and His presence is here!  For never will he leave or forsake.  His love is here!  And he has shown that and continues to rain His love down upon me!  So again, I will praise the name of Jesus!  Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!

For You, O LORD, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. -Psalm 92:4 aaaaahhhh!!!  Rejoice!  Rejoice!  Rejoice!!   It has been 9 months since I have last blogged.  Wow!  I seriously feel like I have been hibernating for the last 9 months!  However, I am awake!  In the last nine months, my youngest son graduated from high school, and all three of my boys have moved away...out of state!  My oldest moved all the way to Oklahoma, teaching adorable kindergarteners with his unending passion, energy, and light.  My two youngest decided to join the military to serve and protect our country and our freedom! I am a proud Marine Mom and a proud Air Mom!  And, in June and July, as my sons each left the nest, I somehow found myself frozen, in a hibernation state....I found myself zombie-ing through each day (with my incredible husband, who was also in this crazy zombie state right alongside me).  Until now, I look, and we are in December.  I

Speed bump? No problem! (1 Samuel 17)

  You come to me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty. -1 Samuel 17:45 I wake up this morning with the greatest memory in my head. A memory including speed bumps. A few friends and I, away for a God filled weekend, found ourselves in a parking lot, waiting. Giggling and excited for the weekend. Excited to be together, and excited to spend the weekend with the Lord Almighty, we waited in that parking lot, driving, we circled that parking lot. The parking lot had speed bumps to slow or even stop cars. As we cruised that parking lot, we found ourselves flying over those speed bumps over and over, shouting silly things as we laughed for joy, shouting again! AGAIN!  Normally, I hate speed bumps. They slow me down, shake me up, as I stumble over them. We flew over those speed bumps! Our waiting, for that long time seemed like minutes. Our waiting was so much fun! We flew over those speed bumps time and time again with joy and triumph!
