Your Perfect Plan

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

Good morning father,                                                                                                                                      

So often, I confuse your will with mine.  I confuse my desires for yours.  To name a few, foreign adoption, Africa, Mexico, mission work, writing and speaking.  I want to do your will.  I want to follow your path.  I want to bring you glory.  I’m not sure which of the above are part of your plan Father.  But, I lay them all at your feet.  I surrender!  Be my king.  More of you, and less of me is my desire.  Help me to stay fixed on you and wait for your direction.  I love you!  I’m such a mess.  I always screw up.  I tend to make my own path, and father, I know how that ends up.  I know my path leads to a dead end.  Help me to follow your path only.  You are my King.  Your path is perfect.  Help me to quit searching for your path and pay attention to your presence in today.  Help me to see you in my morning, afternoon and evening.  Help me to follow you and you alone.  Help me to stay out of the way, so that your brilliance and light can shine!  Thank you for your amazingly perfect plan.  I love you!  How can I not?  You are so amazing!  Thank you for loving me!  How can you?  I am not deserving.  But, your grace is utterly breathtaking.

For You, O LORD, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. -Psalm 92:4 aaaaahhhh!!!  Rejoice!  Rejoice!  Rejoice!!   It has been 9 months since I have last blogged.  Wow!  I seriously feel like I have been hibernating for the last 9 months!  However, I am awake!  In the last nine months, my youngest son graduated from high school, and all three of my boys have moved away...out of state!  My oldest moved all the way to Oklahoma, teaching adorable kindergarteners with his unending passion, energy, and light.  My two youngest decided to join the military to serve and protect our country and our freedom! I am a proud Marine Mom and a proud Air Mom!  And, in June and July, as my sons each left the nest, I somehow found myself frozen, in a hibernation state....I found myself zombie-ing through each day (with my incredible husband, who was also in this crazy zombie state right alongside me).  Until now, I look, and we are in December.  I

Speed bump? No problem! (1 Samuel 17)

  You come to me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty. -1 Samuel 17:45 I wake up this morning with the greatest memory in my head. A memory including speed bumps. A few friends and I, away for a God filled weekend, found ourselves in a parking lot, waiting. Giggling and excited for the weekend. Excited to be together, and excited to spend the weekend with the Lord Almighty, we waited in that parking lot, driving, we circled that parking lot. The parking lot had speed bumps to slow or even stop cars. As we cruised that parking lot, we found ourselves flying over those speed bumps over and over, shouting silly things as we laughed for joy, shouting again! AGAIN!  Normally, I hate speed bumps. They slow me down, shake me up, as I stumble over them. We flew over those speed bumps! Our waiting, for that long time seemed like minutes. Our waiting was so much fun! We flew over those speed bumps time and time again with joy and triumph!
